Rules and Safety
-
Be on time! Class starts at 4 p.m. on the dot.
-
Pick up is at 5.30 p.m. and parents are responsible for their children once school is out. Always notify the teacher if someone other than the parent is picking up the child after school.
-
Keep the noise level to a minimum and do not run in corridors or along the ramp. Also, please refrain from talking on the phone out on the ramp. The Swedish school shares premises with the First United Methodist Church, whose staff work in offices right next to our classrooms.
-
If your children are playing in the courtyard after school hours, please keep them out of the flower beds and the trees. Stay vigilant – there is a lot of traffic on the road by the church.
-
We expect everyone to help clean up the classrooms after class is over, as well as the parent sitting area.
-
Please confirm with your child's teacher or with the principal before bringing any guests to the school.
-
To set a good example for our students, we ask you to only speak Swedish with the children while at school.
-
If the fire alarm goes off, each class will evacuate in an orderly fashion and rendezvous in the courtyard for pickup.
-
In the event of an earthquake, drop, cover and hold on. Stay where you are, take cover under a table and hold onto the table legs. Stay away from windows and heavy furniture that could fall on top of you. If you are indoors, stay put, do not run outside!
-
The tuition fee must be paid before the registration deadline, or a $50 late fee will be applied.
